Building an AI-native operating system for product

Bolting a chatbot onto a tool is not AI-native. We started from the graph and worked outward.

The PROM TeamEngineering

Most products added AI by putting a chat box in a corner. It can summarize the page it is on and little else, because it cannot see the rest of the work. That is not AI-native. That is a feature wearing a costume.

Start from the graph

We started with the structure. Specs, personas, designs, decisions, tickets, and metrics are nodes in one graph, linked by the work that produced them. The agent is not bolted on. It reads the graph the way a teammate would, except it never forgets and never has to ask where something is.

  • The graph: everything connects to everything, automatically.
  • The memory: decisions and patterns compound instead of evaporating.
  • The agent: drafts the work people do not enjoy.
  • The trust layer: proposals, not silent changes.
An assistant that cannot see the work can only ever guess at it.

What we are building next

The private beta is the foundation: auth, organizations, products, the workflow graph, and the copilot. Next come deeper signals from the tools teams already use and the per-team surfaces described on the Why PROM page.

We are building in the open. If this is the kind of system you have wanted, we would like to hear from you.
